Financial Aid

Financial aid can help make your education at HTTI more affordable. 

Types of Financial Aid You May Receive
  • Federal Pell Grant — up to $7,395 for 2026–2027 (eligibility varies)
  • PA‑TIP Grant — up to $6,000 for eligible programs (need‑based)
  • Federal Direct Student Loans — borrowed funds that must be repaid

Stay Eligible for Financial Aid
  • Minimum 78% GPA
  • Complete at least 67% of attempted clock hours
  • Finish within 150% of program length

Financial Aid Quick Start
Follow the steps below to apply correctly and avoid delays.

Step 1: Create Your FSA ID
  • Go to StudentAid.gov
  • Create a username and password
  • Keep it secure — you’ll use it every year
Parents of dependent students must create their own FSA ID.

Step 2: Complete the FAFSA
  • Complete the FAFSA for the 2026–2027 award year
  • Enter HTTI’s School Code: 042750
  • Submit as early as possible
The FAFSA is free — never pay to apply.

Step 3: Check Your Email & StudentAid.gov
  • Watch for emails from HTTI Financial Aid
  • Log in to StudentAid.gov regularly
  • If selected for verification, submit documents promptly

​Step 4: Review Your Financial Aid Offer
  • Grants and scholarships (do not need to be repaid)
  • Federal student loans (must be repaid if accepted)
You may accept, reduce, or decline loans. Borrow only what you need.

Step 5: Complete Loan Requirements (If Borrowing)
  • Entrance Counseling — explains loan terms and repayment responsibilities (StudentAid.gov)
  • Master Promissory Note (MPN) — your legal agreement to repay the loan (StudentAid.gov)
HTTI receives confirmation automatically once both are completed.
